Precious (African American Movie )

Precious goes through unimaginable hardships in her young life. Abused by her mother and raped by her father, she grows up poor, angry, illiterate and overweight.  In hopes to start her life in a new direction she enrolls in an alternative school where she learns how to read and meets girls who share some of the same issues she does.
